Suggestions on How to Improved Readership

THE TOP FIVE WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR BLOG...

Marketing is useless if you don't have a good 'product'. Here are five ways to ensure you do.
  1. Provide something unique: There are so many blogs out there, even if you're writing brilliantly, you won't attract an audience if someone who's already more widely-read is writing on the same subjects. First-hand accounts or data, original research, surveys, original ideas, original graphics or photos or artwork, all help establish your uniqueness. World O'Crap, one of the newest and yet most popular Salon blogs, is written by a liberal who almost exclusively frequents right-wing conservative blogs and news sites, catches them in lies and exaggerations and inconsistencies, and then writes biting, hilarious satire about them. Unique, brilliant, and very funny.
  2. Provide something valuable: Give readers a high 'return on their investment' in reading your blog by (a) entertaining them, (b) teaching or helping them to do something (lessons learned etc.), (c) informing them about something they need to know about, (d) giving them a 'take-away' (checklist, great quote, useful tool, etc. -- something that will cause them to immediately bookmark or blogroll or write about your site and revisit it often), (e) saving them time (distilling something down, analyzing it, researching it), or (f) providing deep insight about what something means (great graphics can help do this).
  3. Be first: The first person to write about a particular topic will probably get a large share of traffic about it. Even if a more popular blog picks up on it, they're likely to link to you and send even more readers your way. First-hand accounts, on-the-spot photos, comments from people who were at the scene of breaking news all make fascinating reading. Even the first reviews and synopses of new movies and books usually attract a lot of attention.
  4. Do your research: Invest time to learn as much as possible about what you're going to write about. Spend much more time reading and researching than you do writing. Check your facts. Learn to use search engines powerfully, so no time is wasted looking for just the right information. Don't neglect primary research -- stuff you get from offline sources like real people, in-depth television reports, people you can call or survey to get information that isn't available on the Web. Always cite and if possible link to your sources. Dig for great finds, stuff that isn't on the first page of the Google results, information that you need to go through multiple links to find, information embedded in the many databases that are online but aren't Googled at all. And never lie or exaggerate.
  5. Learn to write very well: Master the art of story-telling. Learn to be brief without being too dense. Write in a conversational, accessible, friendly style. Eschew obscure and intimidating words, like 'eschew' (it means 'avoid' ;-) Ask people you trust to comment on your writing style. Use point form, examples, restatements for clarity. Be natural. Learn the 39 steps for story-writing; most of them apply to non-fiction, too. Have fun, be loose, show your emotion.

... AND THE TOP FIVE WAYS TO ATTRACT MORE ATTENTION TO IT

Once you've got a world class 'product', here's how to get people to look at it.
  1. Use other media to pull people to your blog: Don't just write great stuff and wait to be discovered. Use e-mails (sparingly, selectively) to tell people you think might be interested in reading your blog about a particular article you've written. Make comments on others' blogs and include your blog URL when you do. Try to find an A-lister or two who might be interested in one of your articles, and e-mail them (just be aware many others are also looking for A-listers' attention, so do so sparingly and be patient). Or just comment, early and frequently, on A-listers' posts (first commenter on any new A-lister post often draws a lot of traffic). Join and participate in discussion groups, always leaving your blog URL at the end of every message. Contribute to e-magazines, either online versions of hard-copy periodicals like Ms., or specialized online blog advertisement journals like Virtual Occoquan. Use outgoing links on your blog and blogroll to articles and blogs written by people you'd like to have as readers: Chances are, they'll note you when they look at their inbound links list and come over to see what you said about them. And when people write to you, always answer, always acknowledge that they took the time, and always include your URL in your response. But don't feed the trolls (i.e. don't reply to readers who write hurtful, malicious or baiting comments or e-mails) or you'll have readers you don't want.
  2. Write, at least sometimes, about 'hot' topics: You don't have to be a Googleslut to occasionally get some special buzz on a topic everyone is talking about. Being very focused on narrow, deep topics will get you a faithful readership, but not a particularly large one. Writing about something popular from time to time, especially if you do so before everyone else is writing about it, and say something unique or insightful, will broaden your audience, and bring in what Malcolm Gladwell calls connectors, people who can bring their entire, large networks of potential new readers to see your blog.
  3. Make a great first impression: The average reader who links to your site looks at 1.5 pages and stays 90 seconds. Google hits command a small fraction of even that attention span. That's how long you have to make an impression that will bring them back. A memorable look, a powerful theme, easy navigation, legibility, making sure your links work and that you've spell checked, using clear headings, clever, attractive graphics, summarizing your long posts, making sure your page doesn't take too long to load -- all these things help create a great first impression, and give your blog what's called 'stickiness'. The longer they stay, the more they'll remember and the more likely they'll come back.
  4. Learn by studying who's reading what, and what works: I look at the end of each day who's been reading How to Save the World (most blogs have a 'referrer log' tool that lists your visitors; services like SiteMeter also provide this information). If I don't recognize a reader by their URL, I'll go to their site to see who they are and what brought them to my site (and often say 'thanks for visiting' while I'm there). And I track total popularity three ways (see chart above): Average hits/day per the Salon Rankings list, Number of Inbound Blogs per Technorati Cosmos (I also visit any new additions to my Inbound Blogs list), and Number of people subscribed to my RSS feed per Dave Winer's Who Subscribes List. I know that when I write about certain subjects like blogging or business innovation, I'll get a spike in hits. But I also know my posts on other subjects, like the environment, economics, and social networking, have different and loyal audiences, who I'd lose if I narrowed the focus of this blog. And some things, like poetry and short stories, I post despite knowing they have a very small audience, because the few comments I do get are essential to improving my writing skills. And because I love writing them.
  5. Get outside more: Real Live Preacher, consistently one of the three most popular Salon Blogs, deliberately seeks out (looking at the Recent Updates List for unfamiliar blog names) and welcomes and helps new bloggers -- a tremendous way to get grateful new readers for his smartly written, well-laid-out blog. By using blog directories like EatonWeb or lists like Technorati's Current Events (or just typing a topic of interest in Technorati's search bar) you can find other bloggers interested in the same things you are, and connect with them. Or explore the blogrolls of blogs you like. When you find a 'like mind', link to them, e-mail them, comment on their weblog, or otherwise let them know you exist and where to find you. But don't be pushy and overtly ask them to link to you -- just let them know where you are, and they'll come around.
And finally: Be patient -- Viral marketing is very effective but takes time to work. Stick with what you're doing, especially if people are complimenting you -- word will spread, and the audience will come. And be yourself. If you try to affect a style that isn't 'you' it will come off as forced or dishonest.

Travel Italy

The Colosseum - the greatest amphitheatre of the antiquity - was built in Rome, Italy, about 1920 years ago. It is considered an architectural and engineering wonder, and remains as a standing proof of both the grandeur and the cruelty of the Roman world.
After the splendor of imperial times, the Colosseum was abandoned, and in turn it became a fortress for the medieval clans of the city, a source of building materials, a picturesque scenery for painters, a place of Christian worship. Today it is a challenge for the archaeologists and a scenario for events and shows.

The Duomo is one of Milan's most amazing landmarks. This Gothic style cathedral took 500 years to complete and features incredible architecture and stained glass. You'll also find treasures to behold at the Duomo's museum. This massive structure seats 40,000 yet is spacious and airy. General admission is free, but it costs approximately 5 Euros to access the roof area via elevator.

At Trevi Fountain the god Neptune rides his winged chariot through gushing waters from the Acqua Vergine aqueduct. Visitors still honor the ancient tradition of throwing a coin in this fountain before leaving Rome - assuring their return.

TheVatican Museum complex is composed of more than two dozen distinct collections, any of which could be a self-sustaining gallery. Outlined below is information on the Vatican to help plan your time in the museums.

The Vatican museums are a testament to the power of papal art patronage and curatorial talent. For your information, the Vatican museum has a one-way system to prevent visitors from getting side-tracked in the maze of rooms, stairways and courtyards. However, you can be selective within this framework or choose to follow one of four color-coded itineraries. Each itinerary, however, culminates in the Sistine Chapel.

The Parthenon was built in honor of goddess Athena. Athena is the goddess of wisdom. There was a forty foot high gold and ivory statue of Athena. the Parthenon was built on top of the Acropolis.

The Parthenon was built inside the city, but unfortunately the roof of the Parthenon fell in and it was destroyed.
The Parthenon had decorations on the poles that supported the roof. When the roof fell in I guess the statue of Athena was destroyed, but it wasn't. The gold and ivory statue is in Athens museum.

Rome—it's known as the Eternal City, and for good reason. Throughout the ages, Rome has been a place of beauty, magic and culture. Modern Rome is a bustling city filled with excitement and energy, as you'll see from the first day you visit.

Two of the most spectacular ancient sights in Rome are the Coliseum and the Forum. A trip to Rome just isn't complete without touring these amazing wonders! Although the Coliseum is a shell of it's ancient glory, you'll find that to this day there are theater and musical performances held there.
Another breathtaking wonder is Capitoline Hill and its piazza del Campiodoglio. On both sides of the piazza are the buildings that make up the amazing Capitoline Museums, an ideal place to see amazing Italian art and artifacts. Another ancient wonder you'll want to visit is the Pantheon, constructed as an homage to the twelve ancient Roman gods and goddesses.

The Palazzo is breathtaking from any viewpoint. The outside features statues of eight kings, while the inside is an example of incredible royal living. You'll get to see priceless tapestries, marble floors, antiques, and much more. The library here is home to over one million works.

The Fenice

Few buildings can have been so ill-fated as Venice’s famous opera house, the Fenice. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the Fenice has thrice survived destruction, and remains one of the world’s most prestigious operatic venues.

The forerunner of the Fenice, the San Benedetto Theatre, was destroyed by fire in 1774. Although rebuilt by its owners, the Veneri family, a massive financial contribution was demanded from the theatre’s managers. They promptly abandoned the new building and constructed their own opera house on the banks of the Rio del Veste in the Campo San Fantin, barely 250 metres from the Piazza San Marco.

This new theatre was named the Fenice (Phoenix) because in spite of the difficulties created by the Veneri family it had risen from the ashes of the wrecked San Benedetto. The inaugural performance, Giovanni Paisiello's "I Giochi di Agrigento", was held in 1792.

The theatre rapidly established a reputation as one of Europe’s foremost opera houses. Major works by Rossini, Bellini and Donizetti were premiered at the Fenice during the years following the end of the Napoleonic Wars.

This theatre was also destroyed by fire shortly before the Christmas of 1836. Immediately after the disaster occurred, its managers instructed the brothers, Tommaso and Giambattista Meduna, to design another theatre on the same site. Within a year, the second Fenice was staging productions.

mGinger.com

Ever thought what your cellphone can do for you????

How u can use your cellphone to pay its own monthly bills????

Another Innovative website for Cellphone users around the world.mGinger

Though its the Early Birds who always benefit. Sign up early and gain more than the rest. Because if you delay there are others who are waiting there to gain more from this new website. Let me give you an example.

If you get an offer from one of your friend that he is starting a new firm or company and he needs you to be his shareholder. There is also a condition that you don't have to invest anything but you have to be a member of the company and help it grow, because and organizations growth depends upon the members and their activeness. Thus you have to be only a member of the organization and have to do nothing but to promote it to your friends and family members. Thereby creating a down link of members who have to pay nothing but to join under you.

The good thing in such kind of organizations is that neither you nor anyone has to pay anything. YES... you got it right pay nothing and earn. Still trying to figure out what kind of business model is this???

Where to these organizations get income from ????

Its simple to understand. mGinger is giving a platform to advertisers to show their ads on users cellphones. Today cellphones are everywhere Even a small kid has it and receiving SMS on them is free of charges. So why not receive a few messages on your cellphone which normally is kept inside the pocket, office drawer, etc. In short is kept useless. So what mGinger is doing is getting ads from advertisers who want to reach more people and then sending it as SMS to the registered users.

Here is a small insight view.

  • As a mobile phone user, you are of tremendous value to merchants who are aggressively seeking your attention and actively reaching out to you to buy their products. At mGinger, we appreciate your act of registering as our user. We understand that you are often faced with time constraints and need to optimize your precious time accordingly. That is where we seek to relieve you of additional stress by delivering to you only relevant information that you require and at the times specified by you only.

  • As a gesture of appreciation, we compensate your effort by paying you to read the advertisements we send to you. Join us today and be assured of receiving only relevant information and yes, of course, cash! And start earning CASH rewards without any investment or purchase needed. Plus, grow your network of family and friends and in turn make more profits. Refer your friends and you will be paid for the SMS that they receive. People who join as users (like you) actually help generate more cash rewards for you. For every advert that your friend receives, you get 10p and for every advert that your friend's friend receives you get 5p.

  • These special SMSes from the advertiser enable subscribers to stay on top of the game and hear about the latest product info; it also spotlights their latest and greatest offers and lets you know about it first. Some of these offers aren't available anywhere else, even on their Web site! And best still, you get paid to receive this information with no strings attached!

So what you gain from it????

At first sight its nothing that you gain because its a new website and there aren't much users registered around 90,000. Which is not a big strength of users in cyber world. So this means that there is still lots of unexplored money in the market. As earlier said this model gives you more benefit only if you have a decent amount of members under you.
Click here to calculate your Earning

The key lies in the amount of Down link you have with you.

How to get more users ???

This again is not a very hard task. You have friends and family. If not in large number or living out of your town. You still have social networking communities. Why not try them. Post your ads in communities, free advertising websites, Blogs, there are so many options. So try your hands at mGinger now.

Goddesscy.com

While surfing the web as my daily activity. I came across a website named GODDESSCY. At first site it seems to be a website for the girl gang. To some extent it is a girlie website with lots of stuff for the girls out there. But the men should not be disappointed as they too have something for them in the store. The website has many interesting features.

  • DATING
  • VIDEO
  • MUSIC
  • ONLINE STORAGE
  • BLOGS
  • EVENTS
  • POLLS
  • STORE
  • ADVERTISING
  • GROUPS

Though many websites offer BLOGS, the most happening thing these days. I like this blogging section because it gives you the freedom to express your views about everything without fearing the consequences and has freedom to expression, which many nations doesn't have but blogging and internet is free of these bounds. I also like the layout of the website. The cool graphics are user friendly and the user feels ease in surfing the site. All the links are neatly displayed and the user doesn't have to keep searching for them. This is a very nice thing about a website that its visitors don't have to keep searching for links.

GROUPS can be created by members of a specific liking and related issues can be discussed in the community. Groups allows you to meet people with same liking and discuss on the related issues, thus helping you to convey your messages to all members.

DATING section contains profile links to the users registered for a minimal fees. This step is again a good one as it ensures that the users are genuine and there is no harassment of users. The search and browse options lets you search for people according to your preference and is pinpointed to the user inputs, and only relevant profiles are displayed.

VIDEO and MUSIC links allows you to upload your media for free and share it with other users. People can watch or listen to your media. Though allocation is of only 1GB of storage space. but its not much of a problem as 1 GB is also a good amount of space. If you need more space you can purchase it by paying according to your need.

The website keeps you updated with the upcoming EVENTS. which is accompanied by [MAP IT ] (linked to Google maps to show you the location of the event), again innovative step of the website designers.

If you are a internet shopper then there is lots in store for you. Check out the STORE for various product available. Add them to your shopping cart, fill up the purchase invoice and you have the product delivered at your doorstep.

If you want your website or Advertise on Blogs to be showcased on the website then this is the website you were looking for. Post your ads on their website for FREE.... Yes you can put your ads on anything on the website fro free. Thought the offer is for a limited period only. But still its worth to get your products showcased for free.

If you are to take my advise on the website then i would advise you to visit it and see it for yourself. I am sure you will definitely like Goddesscy. Primarily designed for Girl gang. This website contains lots more features then expected from the designers. A neatly created website its easy to surf around, listen to music and watch videos, if you are looking for friends and dating the website offers you a safe environment to search for friends and partners.

Few FAQ's

Many users have asked me the question " AGLOCO sounds too good to be true. Why am I getting paid without putting anything into it ? "

Answer 1 : You have Viewbar on screen, they pay you for it.
Having a Viewbar on your screen while you are actively
browsing the Internet offers benefits to AGLOCO, advertisers,
and Internet companies. The internet advertising industry is
booming, as companies are trying many different ways to get
their information in front of your eyes. As such, every inch of
real estate on your screen is valuable (as demonstrated by the
“million dollar homepage” last year). The Viewbar will show a
targeted text ad, and advertisers are more than happy to pay
AGLOCO for the opportunity to put that in front of you.

Answer 2 :
You build the network, they pay you more.
Should you choose to build the network, you are ‘sticking
your neck out’ to build the community and make it valuable.
You are ‘paying’ with your time and effort, as well as risking
your reputation, in convincing the people you know to join
AGLOCO. You know that it could fail. If it does, you have
spent a lot of time working for nothing in return, and you might
look a little silly to the people you referred into the system.
Not everyone is willing to take that risk.

However, for those who do take that risk, there will be
significant rewards if AGLOCO succeeds.

Latest mail i got from Agloco.

Dear Mahi,

We will be releasing the AGLOCO Viewbar software soon and want to update Members on how things will work when it is released.

Each Member will get an email informing them that their Viewbar is available. It will contain detailed instructions on the download, which will be done from the agloco.com website. Members will be invited to download in groups of 50,000 a day for a two week period, with Members contacted in the order in which they signed up.

Shortly before the first set of download emails go out, you will receive an email notice that the AGLOCO website will be ‘out of service’ for a few hours – this is necessary for us to move the Viewbar download system from the test server to the main servers.

Also, please be aware of the following:

1. AGLOCO Hours: You will accrue hours in your AGLOCO Member account (current maximum is five direct hours a month). Hours are earned during active surfing on the Internet. The Viewbar has a green light on it that notifies the Member when it is accruing time. Your referrals’ surfing will accumulate hours for you at a 25% rate, meaning if one of your referrals surfs for the maximum five hours you will get 1.25 (0.25 x 5) hours credited to your total referral hours. You can only get credit referral hours up to the amount you directly surf (meaning if you surf 3 hours but a referral surfs 4, you will only get credit for the first 3 of your referral’s 4 hours). AGLOCO accrues these hours each month and also has a cumulative total of all hours earned. These hours are what AGLOCO will use to calculate cash and other distributions. The Viewbar contains a one click inactive button which turns it off and removes it from your screen at any time.

2. Initial Release for Windows: The initial Viewbar release will be for Windows Vista, XP, 2000 Pro and 2000 Server. Later, we will release Mac and Linux versions of the Viewbar. Until that occurs, Mac/Linux users can still log onto any supported Windows computer and accumulate their five hours. The Viewbar works with browsers IE 5.5 or higher and Firefox 1.5 or higher.

3. Cash Distributions: To be a sustainable entity in the long term, AGLOCO makes Member cash distributions from its positive cash flow (revenue minus costs). Therefore, please do not expect a check after the first couple of months as it will take time to collect revenue from advertisers and this revenue must exceed costs in order to make cash distributions to Members. We will be keeping Members informed of our financial and you can visit the Official company blog at http://blog.agloco.com for the latest updates.

4. Multiple Users on One Viewbar: As stated previously, multiple Members may use the same Viewbar on the same computer. Only one Viewbar download will be necessary as the Viewbar software will enable each Member to log in and log out using their AGLOCO Member ID# and password (obviously, only one Member ID# can be accumulating Viewbar hours at any one time). Please note, only one Viewbar is allowed on a screen at a time.

5. One-Time Download: The v1.0 Viewbar is purposely simplistic and minimalist, but it also comes equipped with an automatic self-updating feature. Once you download the Viewbar for the first time, your Viewbar will be seamlessly updated with new additions and features as they become available. These future features include the direct cash back feature when a Member purchases items on sponsor site and a portion of the purchase price is added back to the Member’s AGLOCO account .

We look forward to your active participation in the AGLOCO community.

Something About Agloco.

Agloco was featured in
the Economist

Agloco was featured in the EconomistThe entire article mention is below:

“Yet another example, established by a group of Stanford graduates, is Agloco. ‘Advertisers, search providers and online retailers are paying billions to reach you while you surf,’ says its website. ‘How much of that money are you getting? You deserve a piece of the action.’ Like AttentionTrust, Agloco is based on a browser plug-in that tracks users’ online activity and then uses this information to allow blog advertisers to target people with specific interests.Agloco promises to return 90% of ad revenue, sales commissions and other income to its users. In a further twist, those who recruit other users get a cut of the revenue, too. Akshay Mavani of Agloco says the firm is on target to sign up 10m users by July.”

The Economist is a very well respected periodical, and to have Agloco featured in a positive article is a serious boost for our credibility!

Many users have asked me the question " AGLOCO sounds too good to be true. Why am I getting paid without putting anything into it ? "

Since AGLOCO Membership and Viewbar software is free, what cost is there?

Signing up takes less than two minutes, the Viewbar download is a one-time install process (updates will be processed automatically … more on that later), the Viewbar uses a small section of space at the bottom of the screen and the current limit of 5 hours of browsing each month is accrued passively while the Viewbar is active on the desktop. AGLOCO only has once a month Member update emails, so overall the ‘cost’ of AGLOCO has been kept very low.

Referal Level is five level deep.

If your already a member try to add some 10 referals per month. Lets see it with some example.
  • A user recruits ten people (10 direct referrals)

  • If on average, each direct referral recruits 3 new users (some will recruit many and some none, but the average is 3 for each level of your network) -- Value of 10 referrals $300

  • The user would have 30 indirect users one person removed. – Value of 30 referrals $900

  • The user would have 90 indirect users two people removed -- Value of 90 referrals $2,700

  • The user would have 270 indirect users three people removed -- Value of 270 referrals $8,100

  • The user would have 810 indirect users four people removed -- Value of 810 referrals $24,300

  • Total referrals the user would have in the network would be 1,210.

  • At an average value of $30 for each referral the total value would be $36,300

Reasons why AGLOCO is not going to fail

Some people say that AGLOCO will fail because most people won't make lots of money off of it. The argument says that since it is only a small minority of people who are actively trying to build huge referral networks, only they stand to reap the benefits of AGLOCO membership; the rest won't make any money and they'll just stop using the Viewbar altogether, lowering the payout amounts, discouraging others from joining and killing the program's viability. Or maybe people will get spyware-weary and not download the Viewbar for fear of being monitored.

I couldn't disagree more with these argument, for a number of reasons:

1 .It's a big world out there. Meaning that even if three-quarters of all savvy Internet users out there think that AGLOCO is a scam, the one quarter that doesn't is still going to sign up - and I bet that one quarter will be more than enough for a decent advertising audience that will definitely draw in some serious cash. It certainly would easily break AGLOCO's "10 million members by July 2007" goal.

2. The Internet grows bigger every day - and not just in terms of new users. Every day, a few thousand people who used to use the Internet simply to check their email realize that in order to keep up, they need to use the whole Internet. So they bookmark Wikipedia, create a Facebook or Linkedin page, join an Internet advertising forum on the topic they are interested in, maybe check out del.icio.us,... and they will also join AGLOCO once one of us shows them how the "infomediary"/"economic network" is the future of the Internet. Someone like that will install the Google toolbar... why not the AGLOCO Viewbar? It's no more invasive, and it may turn out to be just as informative. Do you know how many cookies are in your cache?

3. Not everybody will join in order to become a millionaire. Remember that even if the average Jane or Joe has maybe 0 to 2 referrals, they still will appreciate making a small amount of money each month for doing nothing but turning on a small Viewbar that does not disrupt their Internet experience. Don't forget, if you are a savvy expert on what's hot on the web, you are in a tiny minority all over the world. Most people are grateful to learn just how to use email, and maybe perform a basic Google search now and then. They don't intend to make a career out of online moneymaking. A lot of these folks take the time to clip coupons from the Sunday paper; why wouldn't they take a few seconds to switch on the AGLOCO Viewbar? For many whose lives are 99+% offline, the concept of getting a little money just for signing up for AGLOCO is pretty nice - and it's going to be the source of a lot of money for those of us who seek them out (yes, please click there if you haven't already joined AGLOCO!).

4. While many people will make some money, a few of us are going to make large amounts of money, given that AGLOCO gives incentives to refer others. Those of us who do make considerable amounts of money are going to post our checks on our websites and show them to our friends, and then it certainly won't be hard to bring them aboard. I intend to be one of those who makes more than a few bucks a month. Are you with me?

5. Like any company, AGLOCO will be put to the test. Sure, any hot new startup can get a million hits and be the talk of the Internet for a week... but soon, the proof will have to come forth. AGLOCO's team knows it must provide real member satisfaction in order to succeed. As the development team's letter states: "Trust is Everything. We lose your trust, and the network fails. We work on behalf of the members and everything we do must keep that in mind. Our members know what we are doing with their data and how we are using it for their benefit." Now, if AllAdvantage is any indication, even with the mistakes the AllAdvantage team made, they basically did it right, because, in the words of that same letter, "We unfortunately had to close the business, even though new members were continuing to join the network" (Curious about this letter? Read it here). What this means is that AllAdvantage's record was pretty good. Which brings me to my next point...

6. AGLOCO has a convincing history and reputation even though it has yet to be fully launched. What this means is that many people, especially those in the know, are more likely not to suddenly abandon the AGLOCO project if something doesn't quite go as planned. If those in the know stay aboard, they of course bring others along with them. Here is what upholds AGLOCO's reputation:

  • The success of AllAdvantage in 1999 and 2000 (John Chow made $25,000 with AllAdvantage. The checks show some nice payout amounts).

  • The corporate experience of the AGLOCO team (8 seasoned Stanford MBAs, including several former executives)

  • The fact that the AGLOCO team has many former AllAdvantage team members who have learned a lot from the mistakes made during AllAdvantage's run.
7. The benefits of membership in an economic network hold great value for ordinary folks! Do you know anybody who is a member of a frequent flyer program? A credit union? A benefits or discount program through their job? AAA or CAA auto service (US and Canada)? Those folks would sign up for AGLOCO in a heartbeat even if there were no cash payouts just for surfing. Here is why, courtesy of a blog post by development team member Brian Greenwald:

The AGLOCO Viewbar software will be capable of sensing when you are making the type of purchase for which AGLOCO has a revenue sharing program (and by potentially directing you to that partner if you are not already on their site). If you make a purchase, the Viewbar will collect the commission from that purchase. Initially, this revenue may be added to the general AGLOCO revenue pool for expenses and Member distribution, but eventually a sizeable percentage for that revenue will go directly into the Member’s account. Thus, the more a Member buys, the more money will be put into his or her account in addition to regular AGLOCO income. Without the Viewbar, that commission would simply not be paid, or might go to someone else.

One of the reasons a larger AGLOCO network is important is that these retailers generally pay a higher commission percentage for networks with more Members (i.e. those who bring more customers tend to get paid more money per customer). Rates vary by retailer and by retail industry, but one thing is generally true of all of them: as AGLOCO grows, we will be able to negotiate better and better commission rates for you.

This is one way in which you (as a regular Member) make extra money, and with AGLOCO it will be automatic. It’s like your Internet purchases being made by a cash-back credit card, where the Viewbar automatically picks up when you are eligible for this cash back. So, besides having an active Viewbar on your desktop, you will not need to take any action to collect this money.

Why I joined AGLOCO

I am not someone who jumps at any old money scheme online. I don't like losing my money, and I certainly don't want my identity stolen. That's why I want to tell you what convinced me to join.

Without hesitation, I can easily say that the key thing that convinced me is the story of AllAdvantage. In case you don't know, AllAdvantage was a company very similar to AGLOCO in which members signed up, downloaded a Viewbar, and earned a portion of the revenue generated from advertisement on Blogs and the Viewbar. Though there are differences, AGLOCO is essentially AllAdvantage reincarnated.

When I first heard about AGLOCO, I started looking for information about the pay-to-surf industry. I remembered AllAdvantage only vaguely, not having been a member, but my research definitely brought back those memories. I decided to look into AllAdvantage more thoroughly.

I ended up finding tons of pages about AllAdvantage on the Internet: Outdated pages describing how the system worked, passages about why AllAdvantage did not survive, sites belonging to former AllAdvantage members paying homage to the program's success - and showing scanned images of their very impressive checks! I even found a couple of sites of well-known offline magazines with articles about this new wave of pay-to-surf enterprises, AllAdvantage by far being the best known. The evidence of AllAdvantage having been a genuine venture were everywhere.

I read on. I went to AGLOCO's website and read the terms of service. I noticed that agloco.com was perhaps the only site I had ever seen that had not one but three contracts: Terms of Service, Member Agreement, and a Privacy Policy.

I combed the Internet for other members' blogs - there were almost no naysayers, and those that did doubt did so out of what looked like habitual skepticism. I remember thinking, even if I signed up and did nothing afterward, it doesn't matter. I would still have an account with AGLOCO if I ever wanted to use it later. But you know what? After seeing how the folks who did AllAdvantage made out, I wasn't going to leave anything to chance. I joined and immediately started thinking of whom I could talk to about AGLOCO. Now I'm talking to you. If you aren't a member, join up! It takes maybe 3 minutes and trust me, it doesn't hurt a bit!

I still hear people saying AGLOCO is a scam. Their main questions is how can AGLOCO pay $150 per person and $30 for referrals ? Well I can explain that.

First

Agloco is 100% members owned Economic Network.
Yes they are sharing their revenue to all its members.

AGLOCO makes money for its Members in many ways:

Search: Every time you use the Viewbar™ to do an Internet search, AGLOCO earns money from the search engine providers. (For example, Google pays as much as $0.10 on average for each search that is directed to its search engine.)

Advertising: The Viewbar™ itself displays ads that are targeted based upon the websites you're visiting. When you click on an ad and make a purchase, AGLOCO receives a referral fee, which we pass on to our Members. (Please note: Individual members do not receive any compensation for clicking on ads in the Viewbar™, and the Viewbar™ can detect if someone is clicking ads in a fraudulent manner.)

Transaction commissions: Many major retailers pay commissions when you refer customers who make a purchase. AGLOCO collects that commission and passes it on to our members. (For example, Amazon pays an 8.5% commission to most websites who refer customers, and has cut deals for even larger percentages. The bigger the AGLOCO community, the better commission we can negotiate for our Members.)

Software distribution: Numerous software companies pay websites to encourage the download of new software releases (for example, Adobe's Flash and Acrobat Reader software), and trial versions of new programs. AGLOCO members not only get access to the latest and coolest software, they get paid for it.

Service distribution: Many online service providers will look to the AGLOCO community as a source of new and active users for their services. (For example, eBay, Skype, and PayPal, among others, all pay fees to people who help them recruit new active users to their services)

Product distribution: When Members agree to use a product, such as cell phones, high-tech gadgets, office supplies, new credit cards or financial services, AGLOCO can collect referral fees. Some companies even offer special rebate and cash-back programs.

All they are doing is sharing their revenue.

AGLOCO Members make money in four ways:

1. Members earn a monthly share of the AGLOCO revenue based on the use of the AGLOCO Viewbar™ that month.

2. Members earn part of the company based on the use of the AGLOCO Viewbar™ that month (currently a maximum of five hours are rewarded).

3. Members who use our referral system to help build the AGLOCO network will earn more. (AGLOCO only has significant value as a large network and people who help build it should be rewarded. – We also feel that the early users who told friends about YouTube or MySpace or even Google probably deserved something too, but no referral system was available to record their work).

4. Members will also get a share of any commissions AGLOCO gets when a Member purchases a product or service from an AGLOCO Sponsor company.

So I think you would have know what AGLOCO is by this time

Sorry I am on vacation

Hi fellas i know that i haven't started posting anything here but hey i would like you to wait for sometime till i get back from my vacation and start writing my reviews bout more products here on this weblog of mine. I hope you will bare with me for sometime.

Till then remember that patience is just like Child insurance Policy, the more you wait the more you'll benefit. If you hurry then life would become a mortgage.

So its better to have patience and not aim to get rich quick.

Love
